The language of your poll does not matter, these do not have to be English polls. If you have a web page in Swahili and would like to run a poll in Turkish with answers in French, you can.

Content does not matter (but don't be abusive or offending). You can do commercial surveys, consumer polls, run a preference query, ask any kind of question from your web site visitors.

Your poll will be public so people can vote even without knowing about your site! But since you can link to your site right from the poll you might get some extra visitors to your site.
