I will never use or recommend Dakota Watch Co. to anyone. Their home office customer service division is a joke. No response to my phone calls or email. Donot under any circumstances use them for any type of watch repair. It takes them 8 weeks to tell you thqat there will be an extra charge then another 4 weeks to get your repaired item back. It was not the extra charge that I am upset about. It is the lack of communication between the retail locations, repair center, and the customer. It should not take 8 weeks for an estimate then 4 more weeks for repair. Especially when you are told that it will only take 6-8 weeks for the repair. Needless to say I am having my watch sent back to me so I can take to a local jeweler. it might cost a little more but I am sure the customerr service will be much better.

Customer Service umnresponsive by e-mail or by phone. Automated system is circular and no matter what extension you try to use to ghet a person it will not happen. VERY disappointed and frustrated just trying to locate my order. Never, as in never, use the Cooper and Company site again. Contesting billing with AMX.

My Dakota Hybrid became erratic and would not hold the digital time, dates, etc. It finally quit working altogether. There is no nearby Dakota store (in Northern Arizona), so I went to a mall kiosk. The clerk replaced the battery, but the watch still did not function. Should I keep looking locally, or send to watch in for a new battery or repair, or whatever is needed. I purchased it in the Jordan Creek Mall in West DesMoines, IA last June when we were visiting.

I have a 10yr. old titanium watch. I went to charge and I get nothing. Can you call me please. Is this common? I don't want to bring it to some mall kiosk for a battery. How long do batteries normally last? My watch is a re-chargeable...I'm NEVER supposed to replace it. Can you call me please. 1(352)746-2472 Thank you.

I have had the Backpacker watch for several years and recently the back of the watch came off and it's lost. The watch has kept perfect time all these years and I was wondering if I could buy ONLY the back of the watch instead of purchasing a whole new watch. If this isn't possible, I will buy a new watch from you. The Dakota watch company has treated me well and I am planning on staying with you for future purchases.
Please let me know about buying ONLY the back. It's a Backpacker Phase 3 White.

I recently in May purchased a watch band at the salmon run mall watertown ny on May 30th, by July 22nd it had deteriated and went back for a replacement, cashier 86702 trans-37591 store 86 item 17243 reg 1, he tried to double the price on the watch band until I asked to see and the price was the same as the previous one I bought. He rudely said well that the only that is that price. which was a lie, my friend who was with me was so appalled by his behavior she wouldn't buy the battery her watch needed. I'am dissatisfied at the behavior, deceitfullness and representation. I will not go back when this individual is working. I feel I was poorly treated and had to settle for a watch band color I didn't want. I wanted the pink one and felt the original one should not have fallen apart in 6 weeks if it was genuine leather. dissatisfied customer

I got a seal put in my watck 6 months ago and was told the watch was guaranteed aganist leakage for one year, well the watch leaks. I called the store in Ashland Ky.and told the girl about the problem. She said it was the stem and not the seal letting in the moisture.I was told I had a 1 year warrenty when i first had the seal installed, not so said the girl,so I said $16.00 is a pretty cheap price to pay to find out what crooks you are!

I would like to purchase one of your watches, and have it sent to a different address than my credit card address. I am working and living in Canada right now, and will need the watch before May 10th/08. Could you possibly help me out. There are no retail outlets which carry your product near where I live, or will be working (Queen Charlotte Islands). Thanks
