| brandi is such a moron! not just because he/she likes chevys, read what this idiot wrote! this person hates fords but says "fuck all the ford haters" i guess brandi wants a dick up the ass!!! And yes, fords might not be the fastest things on the road...unless you want to be fair about it. mustangs use much smaller engines than cameros, firebirds,corvettes,ect but in most cases the mustang is equal or even faster than those heaps of shit! camero went to a 300 hp 6 speed set up to get the edge it needed to out run the 225 hp 5 speed mustang. then of course it went extinct. they brought it back with a 6.2 and want to bragg about outrunning a 4.6 mustang. but when the 4.6 has a supercharger on it and blows that bowtie off the damn road, chevy boys cry foul! when you put a supercharged 5.4 DOHC mustang against anything chevy makes its almost funny how slow the chevy looks! you ever watched a 5.0 mustang race a 5.0 camero? i have and its funny as hell! i could outrun that chevy on foot! |

| here's what my problem is. I recently bought a chev s-10 1999 and there is a two peice drive shaft in it. Chev has a cv joint on each end of the short drive shaft and i'm astonished at how many moving parts they have from one end of the driveline to the other, I've read that this is for a smoother ride and it vibrates anytime you replace any part of the driveline. I changed the ones on my ford truck literally in a field and they're still on there and riding smooth. I phoned the chev dealership and they wouldn't tell me anything about it and acted like they had no idea the two peice drive shaft gave trouble and gave me a number to a local driveline shop, The guy at the driveline shop says he's done literally thousands of replacement single piece driveshafts for chev trucks. I try to change spark plugs in this little peice of shit and they actually have two spark plugs you can not change without removing part of the stearing column, If anyone knows an easier way to change these please inform me. I'm not done dropping money into this truck yet, i'm replacing the starter tomorrow and i'm sure i'll learn something else exciting about this delightful little truck. It's kind of a nice truck as long as you dont have to use it for anything work related, they really are not meant to last longer than the day the lease is up. Believe me nobody is trying to insult you when they tell you chev is junk they're not trying to start a Ford chev war, these trucks are really really low quality. It's like they over think every stupid little thing and try reinvent the driveshaft. It's frustrating to work on one. I read a thing tonight that if i was going to replace the starter to get a racing starter so the starter solenoid is on the firewall like the ford. aparently the exhaust is so close to the starter that the solenoids continuously fail. It's not easy to change the starter either it's very awkward. I 'm starting to wish i haven't dropped so much money on it but it's gotta end somewhere. How many new parts can this little truck eat up. I'm trying to think of this thing as a toy now because it's not much good for anything else and it looks good, but what a frustrating little peice of shit. |

| Who's copycatting who? in 97 ford went to the cop ignition system in their trucks and vans. in 99 chevy started using it on their trucks then in 03 they started it on their vans. ford redesigned the f150 in 97. chevy played catch-up in 99. ford put their oval in the center of the tailgate in 04. once again chevy played follow the leader and started putting their little bow-tie in the center of their tailgate in 07. Nissan redesigned their front bumper in 05 and I'll be damned if chevy didnt steal that idea in 07! Chevy WILL have some type of "man step" in the near future so all you chevy boys might ought to think twice about criticizing ford about that helpful feature! (that is if they still around!) | I'm a mechanic and i can tell you all about those fucking piece of shit chevys! you wanna talk about the flopping around steering columbs, or the blower motor wires melting, or the door handles breaking off, or the windshields cracking if you run over a bump to hard, or the gauges not working, or the abs going bad? the list goes on and on! They're made cheap and they suck! they finally give up on trying to make a good diesel, so they hired isuzu to make it for them. The last 6.5 turbo diesel i rebuilt was the trucks 3rd engine and it only had 120k on the truck! the only thing i dont like about the ford is the coil packs going out after 150k miles. my neighbor has a 01 f250 with 260k miles and has done nothing to the truck except replacing the coil packs. Wich is a lot easier then fixing all the shit chevy sells us! Thats why their dumbasses went belly-up! |

Well i was raised around fords and there has been minor problems with the fords, however i own a 6.0 powerstroke that i can push off the grand canyon and give a rats ass, but chevys are unreliable. i dont mean to make it sound like i love fords like everyone else on here but i dont feel safe driving a chevy besides the fact that the vehicles are made even cheaper since they have no money, (bankruptcy, and advertisement) the easiest way you can tell that GM is in some deep shit is by watchin the commercial where they let you borrow a car for a month and if you dont like it just bring it back! |

| I was raised on chevy, and they have been very dependable, and they never have anything wrond with them, Plus, chevy has more older muscle cars than ford. Their mustangs suck. Ford trucks are wayy better than Chevys thats why on Chevys website they dont even have Ford in their comparison chart just the super shitty lifetime warranty Dodges. BUT chevy's cars are faster than fords i will admit to that.
GM-had to close it's racing division along with closing and signing off their branch companies like pontiac and they had their CEO removed and have had multiple buyouts from the government along with them basically giving cars away for 5000+ off sticker cuz of how much dick they blow. My friend bought that new camaro (which look like shitty cheap fisher price plastic inside) for 31K BRAND NEW FULLY LOADED SS and the sticker wanted 42K, when u get ELEVEN THOUSAND off sticker your company is in big shit.
Ford-has yet to lose any branch offs or take government bailouts or filed bankruptcy and their CEO hasn't been fired and their racing division is still going.
And the last reason I WILL NEVER EVER buy a worthless piece of shit chevy is becuase my best friend was driving a suburban and the wheel pin came out of the axle and he flipped going 70mph (speed limit on I-10) and rolled over and his head got caught in between the steering wheel and roof and is now paralyzed from the neck down. He has 3 kids and a wife and he will never be able to enjoy normal father son activities due to Chevys un-trustworthiness and deceitful inconsiderate selves. They sued chevy and chevy got fucked over for double digit millions becuase they knew that something was wrong with their steering on the older suburban models (2000-2006) and went to court trying to fight their way out of it.
And for all those who keep saying fords dont last shut the fuck up our 2004 expedition has 186,000 miles on it and we have not had one problem with it EVER. no rebuilds no fixed parts NOTHING. |
